Seven Hours Before Take Off!

Well the time has come for me to stop talking about it and for this thing to become reality. I just finished installing Skype for my mom now we can talk as much as we want to :) Good news is Oklahoma Christian has just issued me a new Apple MacBook so she can see me due to the built-in camera, but the bad news is she doesn't have a camera so I can't see her. But anyway, I'm just blessed to have the communication I do have. It makes me wonder how missionaries did it many years ago. How could they go that long without even talking to their families?

I'm so anxious right now that it's 10:51 and I can't even sleep! Well I think I better use this time to pray about the next four months, so until next time, keep me in your prayers that I have a safe flight and that this trip to Seoul will not only be a learning experience for me, but it will also be an avenue to win souls to Christ.

Some quick thank you's to some wonderful people in my life....

Finally, the day is here that you'll be leaving to follow your dreams! How exciting! I do understand why anxiety is taking control. Can you beleive it? I was so glad to receive the email. I immediately logged on. I look forward to viewing your pics and reading your updates about how "WELL" school is going and how the mission is doing. I must say Marshall that I'm so very proud of you. I know I've told you that before, but I just can't say that enough. You are about to experience things that few other people will ever be able to match...especially at your age. I must say though...they definitely chose the right man for the job becuase you are a "conquerer" in all apsects of the word and I'm more than confident that you'll be the best yet. You will constantly be in my thoughts and prayers and I know that as soon as you touch back into the states (our city), you'll find me and fill me in with great details about your mission. Before I sign off, I'd like to share a quote with you. Each week I give my students a meditation quote. As I thumbed through my book of quotes, I ran across this one. It definitely fits who you are.
"The greatest endeavor I have ever undertaken is responsibility for my own life. It's hard, but it's worth it." LeVar Burton

As you work, experience, and reflect, know and understand that your deeds not only allow you to be responsible for your own life, ,but it also places you in a position where others will become your responsibility as well. And if I do know one thing, it is that out of the others who are missioning with you, I would rather have no one else watching
my back besides you. You have always been a joy and I wish you the best success life has to offer. You deserve it! You will remain in my thoughts and prayers...DAILY!
